Shaoey and Dot
I ventured to Target a couple of weeks ago with a friend. As we were hunting for gel pens the office supply section I came upon a small stand with several adoption related books (strange place to put it, don't ya think?). This one immediately caught my eye - Shaoey and Dot - the illustrations are very good. As I flipped through it I realized that it is specific to China adoption and it'll be a great story to read to Hana and to help all of us talk about her own adoption story. Even though I promised myself that I wouldn't buy anything for her until after our paperwork is in China, I just couldn't pass it up - it's too perfect.

We got this book for Kavanna, too! It's great, and it's amazing how many books there are written specifically for babies adopted from China. I can't wait until we're reading them to our children (soon, soon...!).
Mary... take it as a sign!!!! She will be here before you know it!
I said that above... not anonymous... how did I do that? LOL
Oh this looks like the sweetest book! I heard about this one a while ago and meant to pick up a copy and then forgot all about it. Thanks for reminding me! :-)
This is an excellent book. Mary Beth Chapman has others. I've heard that a new book will be released soon about Shaoey, Dot, and a thunderstorm. You may already know about the Chapmans and their support of adoption, but in case you don't here and here are some links you might enjoy looking at...
